UNITY - NOV. 06' - PHOTOS

This past Thursday (11.2) was the return of UNITY. A special event, created by Bigga B (rip), that blazed trails for LA's deep-rooted hip hop talent pool and sparked the careers for some of today's most influential West Coast artists, producers and dj's. Ending in the late 1990's and returning in 2006, UNITY is back to reclaim the true essence of what West Coast hip hop is all about.

This past Thursday brought heavyweights like Alchemist, Ras Kass, Self Scientific, Sick Symphonies, Strong Arm Steady and special appearance by Planet Asia while DJ Muggs, Mark Luv, Rhettmatic and Mr. Choc held down the wheelz of steel.

Big ups to DJ Muggs, Chase Infinite, Angeles Records and SA Studios for bringing back a ground-breaking event that not only defines hip hop, but a movement. Rime Magazine is honored to be a sponsor.

Here's some pics... enjoy!

Be sure to check out the next UNITY going down DECEMBER 7th.

PATRICK MARTINEZ x LA WEEKLY COVER

Rime's very own Patrick Martinez has graced the cover of this week's LA Weekly with a painting of Miguel Contreras.

If you don't know who Miguel Contreras is, then you should pick one up to find out. You should grab one anyways for the art.

Better hurry, tomorrow is the last day then the new issue comes out.

Patrick will also be in an art show this weekend. Scroll down for the LA Movement flyer.
